A Breath of Fresh Air


In the long hot summer of 2003, Downhills Park, in East London, celebrated its centenary.

 

Interviews with people who remember the park during the war and subsequently, together with archive photos, tell the warm human story of a much-loved public space, and the efforts of the Friends of Downhills Park to restore some of its former glory.
